Problem Statement
Tourcan Vacations, amid significant growth and a widening customer base, grapples with operational challenges, especially in managing intricate tasks related to corporate travel and concurrent bookings. Previous attempts with a less user-friendly product led to a return to conventional Excel sheets, impeding collaboration among departments.
The absence of automation further complicates matters, hindering efficient handling of expanding operations. There's a clear demand for a specialized solution addressing Tourcan's diverse needs, emphasizing enhanced collaboration, streamlined automation, and improved user-friendliness compared to past systems. This solution must also prioritize security measures to meet the complex requirements of Tourcan Vacations' evolving landscape.

Ideation
The ideation process for the Tourcan Vacation Backoffice system began by meticulously identifying challenges within the back-office operations. This involved understanding workflow inefficiencies, data management issues, communication gaps, and the need for process automation. Through in-depth research, including meetings with back-office staff, insights were gathered from various files, documents, Excel sheets, and other media.
The next step involved the creation of multiple wireframes based on client feedback and evolving insights. These wireframes underwent iterative refinement, addressing specific concerns raised by clients and fine-tuning features accordingly. The wireframes serve as a visual blueprint for the Tourcan Backoffice system, illustrating the proposed solutions to identified challenges.
Following consensus on the wireframes, the ideation process transitioned to the development of user stories. These narratives vividly depicted how the Tourcan Backoffice software would alleviate challenges and enhance operational efficiency. Simultaneously, prototypes were created to visually and functionally represent the envisioned features. These prototypes underwent rigorous validation with stakeholders to ensure alignment with their needs.
Final Design
In Phase 1 of the Tourcan Vacation Backoffice system, our focus was on addressing the challenges associated with corporate or group travels and administrative tasks. This phase aimed at optimizing internal processes, minimizing redundancies, and fostering enhanced collaboration among staff across different departments.
As we transition into Phase 2, our upcoming objectives extend to individual travel, broadening the scope of our solution to cater to the diverse needs of Tourcan Vacations. A crucial aspect of the upcoming phase is the seamless migration of data from Tourcan Vacation's existing system to the new one. This process will ensure continuity in operations while leveraging the advanced features and capabilities of the updated system. The migration strategy will be meticulously planned and executed to minimize disruptions, safeguard customer information, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
